According to information from insider journalist Murat Ates, who covers the Winnipeg Jets, Forward Pierre-Luc Dubois really wants to play for the Montreal Canadiens.
Ates had this to say:
«Pierre-Luc Dubois would really like to play in Montreal, in the end. He doesn't even mind telling members of the organization." - Murat Ates
As my colleague William Nadeau of the HabsAndNHL website points out, Dubois has a few options in front of him:
1- Dubois stays two years in Winnipeg and signs with the CH in 2024
2- Dubois is traded to the CH this summer and signs a long term contract here
3- Dubois is traded elsewhere (to the Rangers, for example) and signs in Montreal in two years.
Dubois, 24, has 60 points (28 goals) in 81 games this season with the Jets.
