The New York Islanders have announced that their young Finnish forward, second round draft pick Aatu Räty, will be sent to Bridgeport in the American League.
Räty had an outstanding season in the Liiga, with 40 points in 41 games.
It's hard to understand why no team wanted to take a chance on him, when everyone knew his potential. He was still selected 52nd overall and was the Islanders' first pick in the draft.
