Major NHL announcement regarding Logan Mailloux

According to what Ian Kennedy of The Hockey News reports, the National Hockey League has announced that Montreal Canadiens young defence prospect Logan Mailloux is NOT currently eligible to play in the league either.
As is the case with Mitchell Miller.
On the other hand, as Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports points out, just because Mailloux will have to meet with Gary Bettman does not mean he will never play in the NHL. The nuance is important.
