According to Sportsnet's Jeff Marek, considering Shane Wright has been out of the lineup for five straight games, he is officially eligible for a two-week AHL conditioning stint with the Coachella Valley Firebirds.
Could this work with an appearance at the World Junior Hockey Championships in December?
Is a return to the OHL following that tournament a possibility? We'll have to see.
In seven games this season, the fourth overall pick in the last draft had just one assist.
