In an interview with Mario Langlois on Amateurs de sports on 98.5 FM and the Cogeco network, Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes was obviously asked about the Carey Price issue.
Even if he is injured for possibly the whole season, would the goalie like to stay with the team?
Here is the answer from the GM:
« I think so (...) But it's hard for field hockey players when they're not playing hockey. I told Carey, 'You stay around the team as much as you want, but if you find it mentally difficult, we'll keep a clean sheet of paper and it's up to you...' It's completely open. Carey is a very thoughtful guy. He's not a guy who reacts on the fly.
So that's something to keep an eye on this season! Will he have a specific role with the team's goalies? Stay tuned!
