Oilers Comeback Kid Klim Kostin Completes a Gordie Howe Hattrick By Fighting Zach Kassian
Former 1st round pick Klim Kostin was acquired early this season by the Edmonton Oilers. The alliterative-named forward couldn't find a place in St-Louis, but it appears that things are looking up on his new team.
In the Oilers game against the Arizona Coyotes, Kostin notched a goal and an assist. In the dying seconds of the third period, with the Oilers leading 8-2, Zach Kassian threw down the gloves.
This thus completed the mythical Gordie Howe hattrick. An impressive feat for a player who was on waivers just two months ago.
