Norris has 31 goals and 15 assists for 46 points in just 55 regular season games for the Ottawa Senators.
The Senators have a lot riding on Norris' success. He was part of the trade that sent former star defenseman Erik Karlsson to the San Jose Sharks. Despite the Senators not being a playoff club this season, Norris has continued his great play in April, scoring 6 goals since the month began.
On Sunday, the Ottawa Senators mentioned their rivals, the Toronto Maple Leafs, in this way. According to their official Twitter account, they stated:
With his sixth goal this month, [Senators] Josh Norris joins Auston Matthews as the only two league skaters to reach the mark since April 1. Wow, they have high hopes on Josh Norris. Comparing him to Auston Matthews is a bit of a reach don't you think?
