With the NHL Draft in 2022 rapidly approaching, many team are gearing up for a busy and active trade market.
Potential targets have been identified and needs have been identified.
One of the very big names we are watching closely is Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane, whose name has surfaced in trade rumors this year.
Kane, 33, has 92 points (26 goals) in 78 games this season. Another stellar year for him.
His contract expires in 2023 and he earns $10.5 million per year.
WILL HE BE TRADED?
According to what Charlie Roumeliotis reports, Kane's wish will be granted this summer. Basically, he'll be the one to decide. (kind of like Claude Giroux did with the Flyers last March, before moving to Florida)
So, the Blackhawks will trade Patrick Kane if, and only if, the request comes from him. It'll be really intriguing to see how this one turns out, because he can really be a game changer.
