After waiting so long for NHL players to return to the Olympics, Team USA might get cancelled. With the Winter Olympics about to take place in Beijing in February, reports have surfaced that the US is mulling at least a diplomatic boycott to protest China's human rights violations.
When questioned about a possible boycott of the games, US President Joe Biden remarked, "That is something we are considering."
Biden spokeswoman Jen Psaki stated later at the White House that the US is still deciding "what our participation will be" at the games, which begin on February 4th.
That would totally suck for US hockey. In my opinion if team USA is cancelled, team Canada would probably do the same.
