Unexpectedly, the Montreal Canadiens have confirmed that they have handed over goalie Carey Price and forward Brendan Gallagher to the Laval Rocket in preparation for the team's meeting for the game on Monday night.
Both men were kept out of the game due to injury. They were surrendered on the grounds of physical conditioning, a technicality allowed when a player suffered an injury that kept him out of play for a period of time.
For his part, Carey Price will play a first meeting since April 19, he who had received a blow to the head of striker Alex Chiasson. He had suffered a concussion at the time. His rehabilitation is going very well as journalists have witnessed in the past few days.
He will be loyal to his position Thursday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Brendan Gallagher missed the last six weeks of the regular season with a broken hand after receiving a shot from teammate Alexander Romanov on April 5, 2021 against the Edmonton Oilers.
The troop led by Joël Bouchard will cross swords again against the Toronto Marlies on Monday night.
