The Montreal Canadiens have been the most active team in recent weeks, making moves ahead of the trade deadline to strengthen their future. TSN's Darren Dreger believes another trade could happen today, after the Flames acquired forward Tyler Toffoli and the Panthers acquired defenseman Ben Chiarot. This is what he said on TSN690:
«I know Kent Hughes was busy yesterday afternoon... I sense another piece coming soon, possibly today.»
Montreal has a lot of trade options as new GM Kent Hughes tries to retool the roster for a better season in 2022-23.
Joel Armia, Paul Byron, Jonathan Drouin, Christian Dvorak, Mike Hoffman, Artturi Lehkonen, Jeff Petry, Brett Kulak, Chris Wideman, Shea Weber, Jake Allen.
Those names are all potential candidates for trade.
