It surely won't be an easy transition in the Vancouver Canucks locker room.
After the disastrous handling of former head coach Bruce Boudreau, freshly minted head coach Rick Tocchet came in with a target on his back.
Fans hated him before he ever even stepped behind the bench, and it's hard to imagine that players were especially excited for the move, even captain Bo Horvat.
However, after Tocchet's post-game locker-room speech, it's easy to believe he's gained some allies.
Great job. You had puck possession all game. You got a little antsy, but then we got back to our structure. Once we started rolling the lines; smart hockey - right? Thanks for hanging in the last couple days for us. Hell of an effort.
He may not have the love that Bruce Boudreau had yet, but if he keeps rallying the troops like this, he won't be an outcast for much longer.
