According to Jim Matheson, Phill Kessel could be heading back to Canada. Two time Cup winner could be traded to the Oilers. The Edmonton Oilers could have big interest in the right winger to play along side their two superstars, Connor Mcdavid and Leon Draisaitl.
There's a lot of pressure in Edmonton to perform in the Playoffs and bringing a proven player could pretty much help that core.
Phill Kessel is 34 and is an unrestricted free agent this upcoming summer.
If the Coyotes are willing to retain half of his $6.8M salary, the Oilers could be getting a top winger for $3.4M.
The All Star winger has 921 career points in his 1151 games, pretty solid. A third cup with the Oilers could cement his legacy.
