Scary Scene as Medics Rush to the Ice Following a Serious Wrist Injury
It is a bit of déjà-vu today in the hockey community. We watched a few weeks ago as Evander Kane's wrist was effectively severed following impact with a skate. Today, in the VHL, a nearly-identical event has occurred.
Medics rushed to the ice when Damir Rakhimullin's wrist was cut open by a skate.
With more injuries like this occurring, solutions such as protective wrist guards must be considered. Luckily, Rakhimullin is set to make a full recovery.
