Hockey is a dangerous sport. The number of injuries is quite high and we don't know all the injuries that players suffer throughout the year.
However, some injuries are worse than others and Place Bell was the scene of a frightening scene on Friday night. Canadiens prospect Xavier Simoneau left the ice on a stretcher after being on the floor for several minutes.
Simoneau was defending his territory when he was accidentally hit in the face with a hard stick by teammate Joel Teasdale.
Let's hope everything works out for him and that his stretcher release was just a precautionary measure.
