Sent to the American League for a fortnight for reconditioning, rookie Shane Wright has had great success with the Coachella Valley Firebirds.
In three games, the former Kingston Frontenacs OHL captain scored four goals.
What's next for him? Seattle Kraken general manager Ron Francis answered the question:
"He'll play two more games this weekend...before he's recalled, then our plan is to get him in the lineup here, then we'll make a decision on the World Junior Championship at that time."
Team Canada junior officials must surely be dreaming of Wright's presence, considering he's never played in the World Junior Under-20 Championship, given that the December 2021 edition had been postponed to 2022.
To be continued.
