Some Key Numbers to Remember for Game 4

Even though Dominique Ducharme says his group will take it one period at a time and one game at a time, logically, it's hard to believe that the Habs will do the impossible against the best team in the world. A 0-3 deficit in a final series is unlikely, if not impossible, to overcome that deficit and win the series in seven games.

The numbers speak for themselves, but since the Sainte-Flanelle remains OUR team, we want to believe that this one will be the fantasy. However, here are some numbers that speak well for the Tampa Bay Lightning:

- Jon Cooper's team is in the hunt for a third Stanley Cup, which would be their second in as many years. If the Bolts lift the trophy tonight at the Bell Centre, they will become the first team in 23 years to sweep a finals. The last time this happened was in 1998 (Detroit).

- The last time a team led 3-0 to open a final series was in 2014, when the Los Angeles Kings went 3-0 to win that final in five games against the New York Rangers.

- If the Lightning beat the Habs in four games on Monday night, they will become only the sixth champion in the last 40 years to lift a second consecutive Stanley Cup.

We could also add the numbers of Nikita Kucherov (32 points in 21 games) who has scored more than 30 points in each of the last two springs. We can also talk about Andrei Vasilevskiy's monstrous save percentage (.938) during the 2021 series. Or the 28 goals scored by Brayden Point in 44 playoff games... Amazing statistics, there are a ton of copies in the Lightning...

In short, let's try to stay in the same state of mind as Dominique Ducharme at the beginning of this fourth duel between the two clans, it will avoid a rise of anxiety.
