TRADE ALERT: Major trade between the Hurricanes and the Sharks

The San Jose Sharks have traded Brent Burns and Lane Pederson to the Carolina Hurricanes.
In return, the Sharks will receive Steven Lorentz, goaltending prospect Eetu Makiniemi and a conditional third round pick in 2023.
The Sharks retain 33% of Burns' contract.
