Teen charged during a minor league hockey game for assault

A 17-year-old hockey player from Grimsby, Ontario was charged with assault with a weapon after hitting a player with his hockey stick in the head during a minor league tournament.
The police were called after the incident took place, good news is the victim is ok and police say he suffered "non life threatening injuries". The annual tournament is held from December 10-12.
The incident happened at Fleming Memorial arena and was the 10th game of the tournament when the "goaltender struck a player intentionally in the head with his stick", CBC reports.
The league has suspended the player indefinitely and police are currently still investigating the incident, we wish the injured player a speedy recovery.
