The Boston Bruins Have Tied An Insane NHL Record!
The Boston Bruins have had an insane start to their 2022-23 campaign. While they were believed to be a solid playoff contender coming into the season, the veteran magic of Patrice Bergeron and David Krecji, combined with the speedy injury recovery of Charlie McAvoy and Brad Marchand has made them a serious threat.
In fact, the team is a ridiculous 16-2-0 on the season, a record that doesn't even seem real. This ties an NHL record set by the Bruins back in 1929-30, with sixteen wins in their first eighteen.
That's not the only record the Bruins have tied however; they have also won all eleven of their home games so far, tying the 2021-22 Florida Panthers and the 1963-64 Chicago Blackhawks.
Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman was asked about the historic streak in an interview, and his response indicated the passion and dedication of the team:
» We don't want to lose in this arena,» said goaltender Jeremy Swayman, who returned from a lower body injury. «Boston fans are the best in the league, so we want to make sure that we're winning at home and that we don't plan on stopping anytime soon.»
With this type of feeling in the locker room, the Bruins could be unbeatable.
