The Flames filed a club-elected salary arbitration today.
Calgary stated it "provides us the chance to continue to engage with his representation towards a contractual resolution while removing the risk of an offer sheet."
The Flames have filed for club-elected salary arbitration with Matthew Tkachuk. This provides us the opportunity to continue to work with his representatives towards a contractual resolution while removing the possibility of an offer sheet. Uh oh. Are the Flames scared of losing Matthew to another team? They want to try to lock him in before some other team sends him an offer he can't refuse.
