The next World Junior Championship is just around the corner and NHL teams are starting to let people know if their young players will be participating.
Juraj Slafkovsky could be going to defend Slovakia along with his friend and fellow Canadiens prospect Filip Mesar. However, the CH has told the Slovak team not to count on Slafkovsky.
With the number of injuries continuing to rise for the Canadiens, the team will need Juraj Slafkovsky.
It's too bad for him, but I don't think taking him out of the lineup and sending him to the World Juniors would be beneficial as he starting to get used to the NHL.
