The Colorado Avalanche give up two first round picks

The Colorado Avalanche have placed two former first-round picks on waivers.
They are 23-year-old Martin Kaut, the 16th overall pick in 2018. In 20 career NHL games, he has three points. In 46 AHL games last season, he scored 31 points.
The other first round pick is none other than Shane Bowers, the 28th overall pick in 2017 by the Ottawa Senators. In 37 AHL games, he had nine points.
