On Friday night, the Habs were put on the brink, at home no less, as the Lightning won the third game of the series. They took a 3-0 lead in the Stanley Cup final series, forcing the CH to be perfect in the next four games.
Many fans and analysts have already thrown in the towel, they think it's impossible for the Habs, the way they are playing, to come back and win this series. But there is a precedent in the history of the league. Only one team has ever come back from 0-3 in the finals and won the cup. That was the 1942 Leafs, who beat the Detroit Red Wings.
But let's face it, the CH's chances are very very slim. According to what MoneyPuck reports, the Habs have only a 3.3% chance of lifting the big trophy. It's certain that Friday's loss shaved several percent off the club's chances...
We'll just have to hope for a miracle so that the CH can finish its playoffs like a movie script with a happy ending. After all, whoever is most capable of pulling off that kind of miracle is nicknamed Jesus-Price, right?
