Fans were looking forward to the first game of the finals at the Bell Centre, but a linesman found a way to dampen the spirits of the crowd with a bad call that cost the first goal.

With 90 seconds left, Josh Anderson seemed to have won his race with the two defensemen. It was very close, but Anderson would clearly get first in the back of the territory on the run.

Even though it was close, we have to let the game continue when it is. The early whistle led to a faceoff in CH defensive territory.

Jon Cooper took advantage of the fact that Dominique Ducharme couldn't make changes, and then a turnover caused by Josh Anderson out of the zone led to Jan Rutta's net.

The defenseman took advantage of a screen to beat Carey Price on a shot to the top of the net.

The Lightning took advantage of a power play to give themselves an early two-goal lead. There weren't even four minutes left in the game.
