According to reports from journalist and insider Rick Dhaliwal of The Athletic, the Habs and Vancouver Canucks are reportedly close to making a trade.
The Habs would like to acquire 23-year-old goalie Michael DiPietro.
In 34 games last season with the Canucks' AHL feeder club, DiPietro maintained a 2.95 goals-against-average and .901 save percentage. He compiled a 15-13-4 record.
It will be interesting to watch, especially since Samuel Montembeault is still out of contract for next season.
