Tragic News: 33-Year-Old Canadian Hockey Player Tragically Passes Away
On Thursday, it was confirmed that Great Britain Ice player Mike Hammond was tragically killed in a car accident that occurred in Shawnigan, British Colombia.
A tragic accident
Mike was just 33-years of age, and the news was confirmed by his current team the Nottingham Panthers, whom he joined in 2022, who sent condolences to the family after a tragic accident.
A solid international career
The 33-year-old represented Great Britain at the 2019 and 2021 IIHF Championships, and would play for teams around the world throughout his career, including the Kelowna Rockets, Victoria Grizzlies and Lakehead University.
