Blows to the head have been a plague in the NFL for several years. What is called chronic traumatic encephalopathy or CTE if you prefer, is a progressive degeneration of brain cells after several head injuries.
TSN has revealed a study involving the brains of former National Hockey League players.
In total, 13 brains out of 14 suffer from this famous CTE.
This is very disturbing, considering that one of the players involved in the study, Marek Svatos, is not a fighter at all.
Clearly, the National Hockey League will have to do something to reduce these brain injuries.
