Ryan Poehling was keen to say that he was treated well by the Habs.
"I loved Montreal and I loved my teammates there but at the end of the day you do what you can and you don't have control over the rest. I think the team was looking to trade me. Now that I'm going to Pittsburgh, I'm excited about what's next but I had a great time in Montreal. I was treated well and made a lot of friends. The process took longer than I thought it would but I learned a lot and it helped me a lot."
- Ryan Poehling
Not only was Jeff Petry traded to Pittsburgh, but let's not forget about the Habs' 2017 first round pick, Ryan Poehling.
The 23-year-old center met with the media yesterday and talked about talking with the Penguins GM yesterday.
« I spoke with him yesterday. It sounds like he was excited for me to be a part of the organization, and I hope to bring that excitement to them as well." - Ryan Poehling
Poehling had the best season of his career in 2021-2022 with 17 points in 57 games.
