At 2:00 p.m. today, Canadiens forward Ren Pitlick learned that he would be continuing his career in the American Hockey League with the Laval Rocket.
Many fans were wondering why he was not claimed.
Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports explains the reason:
"As I was intoning to myself last night at JiC, it's very rare that teams claim a player from waivers who has another year (minimum) left on his contract. Rem Pitlick will have a chance to rebuild his confidence in Laval."
So Pitlick will dominate in the AHL and he will be exciting to watch.
