Zach Hyman isn't a fan of Alexander Edler. It was a scary flashback for Hyman when he saw Edler throw a dangerous hit on Connor McDavid, one eerily similar to one Edler threw on him a few years ago.

This has sparked Hyman to believe that this was an intentional injury-causing play by Edler.

It appears that McDavid won't miss any time due to this hit, whereas Hyman missed over two months, but the damage is still done.

In an interview with Gene and Principe of Sportsnet, Hyman said this:

He did to me a couple of years ago. Exact same play. I was out for two months & you know, just did it to Connor. Same thing. It's an extremely dangerous play.

Edler only received a two game suspension for his hit on Hyman, and may not get any supplemental punishment for his hit on McDavid.

Losing Alexander Edler for the kings wouldn't be too consequential, whereas losing McDavid for the Oilers would almost assuredly leave them out of the playoffs. Thankfully, McDavid appears to be okay.
