Today, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman tweeted a big article, claiming that Jack Eichel is dissatisfied with the way the Buffalo Sabres have treated things since his injury.
Friedman went on to say that Eichel claims there has been a "bit of a disconnect" between him and the rest of the team. Due to a herniated disc in his neck, the 24-year-old hasn't played since March 6, effectively ending his season. Prior to the injury, he was having a poor year, scoring just two goals and accruing just 18 points in 21 games.
As if the Sabres' season hadn't been bad enough already. Eichel trade reports have already surfaced in recent months, and hearing now that he is dissatisfied with management won't help matters. Despite possessing one of the best players in the game in Eichel, this organization has been unable to put together anything like a playoff team. He has 139 goals and 355 points in 375 games. Almost every team in the league would be interested in acquiring him if they were to transfer him.
