New report confirms Milan Lucic's future in the NHL after his arrest
A new report confirmed Milan Lucic's future in the NHL following his arrestation in November 2023 on assault and battery charges.
Last summer, Lucic signed a one-year contract with the Boston Bruins.
While the organization didn't end their association with the player, he officially hit free agency on July 1st, and nothing indicates that he received interest from NHL teams.
Following the massive controversy, it wasn't surprising to learn that his NHL career is likely over.
Here's the new report, highlighting that possibility:
"It looks like Milan Lucic's NHL career is over. He was struggling to keep up last season, and his arrest left him unwelcome back in Boston.
There has been no interest in him this summer and he hasn't been connected to anyone via rumors. At 36, it's fair to say it's game over."
In 2023-24, Lucic took part in only four games with the Bruins, and scored two assists.
In his career, he played in 1177 games for the Boston Bruins, Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers, and Calgary Flames. He scored 233 goals, 353 assists, and tallied 1301 PIMs.
