Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby was in need of stitches after taking a stick up high from Mat Barzal.

Crosby and the Penguins currently lead 2-0 against the Islanders with less than 10 minutes to go in the third on the back of goals from Lars Eller and Noel Acciari.
Crosby is still producing at an elite rate at 36 scoring 20 goals and 36 points through just over 34 games. He will look to finish out 2023 with a win and start 2024 by continuing a winning streak.
