Samsonov in Good Spirits Before Arbitration Hearing
A lot of speculation has come out on whether or not Ilya Samsonov will be a Leaf for the long term after an arbitration date was scheduled to settle his contract dispute.
Live, Love, Leafs
Samsonov re-posted this Instagram post to his story which features the caption "Live, Love, Leafs", a strong indication of his still favourable opinion of the organization.
No Love Lost?
After news that Samsonov was entering arbitration, many believed that the process would cause animosity between him and the Leafs' organization, as a result of the negative hearing process where executives argue that the player is not worth the value that they are asking. To do this, they often go into detail about a player's weaknesses.
It's no doubt that Samsonov knows this same negativity is coming for him, yet despite this, seems to have no love lost for the Leafs. Whether or not he is this grateful after the hearing, is another story.
