Elliotte Friedman suggests Martin Necas trade to the Vancouver Canucks
Today Elliotte Friedman suggested a blockbuster trade between the Carolina Hurricanes and Vancouver Canucks involving Martin Necas and Filip Hronek.
One of the hottest names in NHL trade rumors right now is Carolina Hurricanes forward Martin Necas. Necas has previously led the Hurricanes in scoring and has been impressive despite not getting a full shot.
On the 32 Thoughts podcast, Elliotte Friedman shared the latest on Necas and how he is unlikely to remain in Carolina.
After this Friedman mentioned a potential swap of disgruntled Czech stars, Filip Hronek and Martin Necas. The Hurricanes forward could be moved out for the Canucks defenseman and both players are restricted free agents.
Hronek had a career year with the Canucks this year as one of their top pairing defensemen alongside Quinn Hughes but disappointed in the Stanley Cup playoffs putting his name in trade rumors.
Only time will tell if the two are traded for each other but with the offseason beginning for some teams, conversations will certainly be had.
