Blackhawks Make Major Decision With Connor Bedard
The Chicago Blackhawks have been in a transition period over the last year. Trading or letting go of major pieces like Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews and Duncan Keith. Now they have made another massive decision regarding their future.
A new report has confirmed that the Chicago Blackhawks have made a big decision regarding their organization for the 2023-24 season.
Thanks to this report by Scott Powers we now know that Connor Bedard will have to wait at least a year to be captain of the Chicago Blackhawks. This move is one that was expected by most in the NHL. It allows Bedard and the Blackhawks to become comfortable with one another before he is named the leader of the organization.
Blackhawks Looking To Build Major Dynasty With Connor Bedard
The Chicago Blackhawks are looking to get back to the dynasty franchise that ruled the NHL in the 2010s. With players like Connor Bedard, Lukas Reichel, Kevin Korchinski and many others the future looks bright for the Chicago Blackhawks. With that bright future might come one more year of suffering.
Even with the addition of Connor Bedard into the fold the Chicago Blackhawks are still projected to be one of the bottom teams in the NHL. Unless he carries the team they are likely to miss the playoffs again. This would likely be good news for their future though as they can add a fantastic talent into the fold along with Bedard and their other pieces.
