Connor Bedard Gets Brutally Honest When Talking About Connor McDavid's Edmonton Oilers In Recent Interview

Before the game between the Chicago Blackhawks vs the Edmonton Oilers, Connor Bedard was speaking during the media availability and had a brutally honest opinion of Connor McDavid and the Oilers team in general.

As he stated the Oilers are a well-built team, even though they had their 10-game draught at the beginning of the season, not to mention the team had to fire head coach Jay Woodcroft. But, the fact that the young forward expressed a few good words for the Oilers team, shows the respect the young forward has for elite forward Connor McDavid.

«I thought it was pretty funny the first 10 games of the season seeing people freak out. They've been one of the best teams in the league the past few years. I don't think it is a surprise that they are doing what they are doing now,» Bedard on the Oilers.

How did the battle unfold between the two Connor's

At the start of the period with less than 5 minutes into the game, Connor Bedard scored a beauty of a goal with a quick wrister, over the shoulder of goaltender Stuart Skinner. However, the Edmonton Oilers took control of the game and scored 4 straight unanswered goals of their own to win the game, Connor McDavid recorded two assists in the contest, as Connor Bedard was held to one point in the game.

Both played with poise and diligence, with Connor McDavid getting the upper hand, no doubt with the experience on his side. The matchup was an entertaining one with both teams playing to the best of their ability, which may have looked like a playoff-implicating match. There was physicality shown by both teams, even though the Blackhawks are missing two key players and lost one in a release of the contract in Corey Perry, after the scandal.
