Connor Bedard criticized for disrespectful' behaviour after goals
Connor Bedard is having an amazing run at the 2024 IIHF World Championship, but it appears even there the 18-year old star can't escape ridiculous criticism.
Team Canada is off to a great start at the 2024 IIHF World Championship, as they remained undefeated after a lucky overtime escape against Team Austria. It was John Tavares that saved the day then, but it's been Connor Bedard leading the way with five goals and six points in just three games, placing him second in the tournament in scoring.
However, this hasn't stopped the criticism of the 18-year old star, as 15-year NHL veteran Jakub Voracek had some ridiculous criticism for him after scoring many goals in the tournament thus far.
I said I don't like it.and to celebrate goal is normal.non celebration is more disrespectful the celebrate it.he is a f**king player though
The most ridiculous part about this is that some fans have complained he has gone over the top before, so it appears the former No. 1 overall pick just can't escape criticism no matter what he does. Thankfully for Team Canada, Bedard is on a mission in this tournament, and even if he's not celebrating in a big way like Voracek would seemingly like him to do, he's having major success regardless.
