The Verdict is in For Cale Makar
During last night's game between Colorado and Seattle, Cale Makar received a minor penalty for a dangerous hit on Jared McCann after the whistle.
The refs gave him a five-minute penalty, but then decided to give only a two-minute penalty after reviewing the play.

The NHL Department of Player Safety announced earlier today that Makar would have a hearing after the hit, and they have just reached a verdict for the Avs' star defenseman.
The Verdict is in for Makar
In the last few minutes, the DoPS released a statement revealing that Makar is suspended for 1 game.
This won't help Colorado's cause against Seattle. The series is much tighter than expected, and they need all the help they can get. With one of their best players out for a game, others will need to step up if they want to win their battle against the Kraken.
