The Edmonton Oilers are looking to make a deep run in the playoffs this season, but unfortunately, their hopes may have taken a hit with an injury to Connor McDavid.
Connor McDavid is one of the most reliable players in the NHL, with very few injuries over his career thus far, but during the latest Battle of Alberta, he appeared to go down with an injury.
Officially, McDavid has a lower body injury and is day to day. Questionable for tmw v. VGK.
Injury happened with roughly 5:00 to play in Calgary Saturday.
Sounds like an injury, but not a major one. With playoffs around the corner, they'll be careful.
McDavid was absent from Oilers practice over the past few days, something that is very uncharacteristic, and while it's not expected to keep him out for some time, the team are definitely looking to be cautious with his recovery.
No McDavid at practice today, second day off in a row for No. 97.
That is uncharacteristic. Let's see where this goes..
The Oilers are looking to finally make a deep playoff run with this star studded lineup, and while McDavid is expected to be ready for game one against either the Los Angeles Kings or Vegas Golden Knights, there has to be concern among the Oilers faithful.
