Minnesota Wild goaltender Marc-André Fleury knows what he wants for what will likely be his last NHL season before retirement.
Staying Put
Fleury spoke out and denied rumors that he will be moved by Minnesota.
Fleury stated he has every intention of staying in Minnesota, even if that makes him a backup goalie. That puts the nail in the coffin for any Penguins fans who had hopes of a Fleury reunion with Pittsburgh.
Fleury has made his way around the league since being claimed from the Pittsburgh Penguins by the Vegas Golden Knights in their 2017 expansion draft.
The 38-year-old was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks in 2021. He played one season in Chicago before being traded to his current team, the Minnesota Wild, in 2022.
