Matt Dumba Lays a MASSIVE Hit on Kuznetsov and Fights Oshie as a Result
Matt Dumba layed a punishing hit on Washington Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov during today's game, and T.J Oshie stepped up to defend his teammate. As Kuznetsov laid on the ice wincing in pain, Oshie dropped the gloves with Dumba to exact his revenge.
Gloves Fly in Minnesota!
As if being down two goals in the final period wasn't bad enough for a team's morale, having one of your star players demolished on a hit some would call unnecessary just adds to the negative. As a scrum ensued and the play was blown dead, Oshie went straight for Dumba, making sure he knew there was a price to pay.
While neither combatant was able to land a solid punch, the tussle lasted for about 30 seconds and certainly sent a message to the Wild bench. The Capitals were able to mount a small comeback, but in the end wasn't enough to contain the Wild.
