Life after playing in the NHL sounds like it could be very boring, even if you're P.K. Subban - a player who was anything but boring in his prime.
But not even Subby, who's now best known as a hockey pundit on ESPN, can escape the relative banality of life after years of playing the game at the highest level. In fact, he's found a new side hustle during the offseason, according to the Missin Curfew podcast.
Yes, that's P.K. Subban himself working as a security guard at the Calgary Stampede, which is currently ongoing. Working at the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth may not be what most people expected from P.K., but he was spotted Wednesday - cowboy hat and all - putting in a shift at the tent representing the Calgary nightclub Cowboys, as documented on his Instagram stories.
Between lamenting that he made it in plenty of time for a staff meeting that never happened, to patting down a fellow cowboy hat-wearing visitor, to asking for IDs, this is definitely worth the watch. Even at his most bored, P.K. knows how to make things entertaining!
