Steven Stamkos makes his first appearance with the Nashville predators jersey
The Nashville Predators introduced their newest superstar signing, Steven Stamkos, to the media for the first time, where he was asked a series of questions.
Stamkos described the feeling he had when he won the Cup twice with the Lightning in 2020 and 2021, and how much he would love doing it again with Nashville
«We want to win a Stanley Cup. That's why we play the game,» Stamkos said Tuesday when he met the media at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. «I think some people are sometimes afraid to say that and it heightens expectations, but at the end of the day I've always been a big believer that you have to believe you can do it in order to achieve it.»
The Lightning signed Stamkos to a four-year, $32 million contract on July 1st. He spent his entire career with Tampa up until that point, totalling 1,137 points in 1,082 games.
The Preds are on a mission to win the Cup for the first time in their team's history, after they had what many experts called the best free agency day than any other team. They signed some big name players such as Jonathan Marchessault, Brady Skjei and Scott Wedgewood, on top of Stamkos.

Preds GM Barry Trotz has been extremely aggressive this off-season, and fans are really hoping they have all the tools they need for Stamkos to lift his third Cup.
