Crazy Sequence as Hurricanes Player Punches Islanders Player on the Bench
The New York Islanders won the third matchup of their series against the Carolina Hurricanes. The game was tight until the third period, when the Isles scored three quick goals to seal the Canes' fate.
Necas Punches Nelson on the Bench
It all started when Jean-Gabriel Pageau sent Martin Necas flying behind the Isles' bench. When Necas got up, he threw a punch at Brock Nelson before returning to the ice.
As you can see in the video, the coaching staff didn't appreciate Necas' actions. They were probably even angrier when they saw that he wasn't penalized on the play.
This kind of scene doesn't happen frequently, but it's playoff season, so we can expect more sequences like this one in the coming games. Tensions will only rise from this point, and the rest of the series will be fun to watch.
