John Tavares Has Now Ended His Second Massive NHL Historical Streak
The Leafs win was simply historic. By scoring in overtime, John Tavares ended a 19 year drought.
It's not the first time that he delivers a team from their curse.
Tavares Has Now Ended His Second Massive NHL Historical Streak
Before being captain of the Maple Leafs, John Tavares occupied the same role with the New York Islanders.
Between 1993 and 2016, the Isles didn't win a single playoff round. Their drought ended when Tavares scored in overtime, putting an end to their 23 year drought.
This shows what a great leader he is. Even if nobody believes in his team, he still does everything he can win.
