Heartwarming Story of Sidney Crosby's Generosity Has Fans Emotional
Sidney Crosby has always been regarded as a class act by his peers, and for good reason. The longtime Penguins captain has always shown great sportsmanship and has done great things for local communities. This latest revelation, however, has fans in awe of just how great Sid The Kid can be.
Crosby Gives Back to Community
Gord Miller recently sat down to tell a story of Crosby's day with the Stanley Cup back in 2016, when he took the Cup to both a children's hospital and then a veterans hospital.
Throwback to 7 years ago today when Sidney Crosby spent his day with the cup at a children's hospital, then went to a veterans hospital to share it.
One of the veterans, Joe, was blind and bedridden, but Sid really wanted to let him experience the cup.
Joe said that he's actually a Canadiens fan. Crosby told him no problem and asked his favourite player, which he responded Rocket Richard. Sid then guided the veteran's fingers and traced them over Rocket's engraved name on the cup.
