Pittsburgh Penguins Lose Another Deadline Acquisition Long Term
The Pittsburgh Penguins have dealt with a lot of bad luck recently. It didn't get any better today, as they've lost another one of their deadline acquisitions.
Kulikov Out With Injury
The Penguins acquired Dmitri Kulikov at the deadline in exchange for Brock McGinn and a draft pick. The hitty two-way defenseman was meant to boost their below-average aging defensive corps, but unfortunately he won't be very impactful anymore.
He will be out week-to-week with injury, and hopefully he'll return before the playoffs.
This is a tough blow for the Penguins who have already lost deadline find Nick Bonino.
Hopefully everybody is healthy for Game 1, but nothing is certain, not even a playoff berth.
