Heated Exchange Between Luke Schenn and the Lightning Captured
The rivalry between the Maple Leafs and the Lightning reached a new high during Game 3 of their series. After competing in the same division all season long and in last year's playoffs, tensions between both teams have never been higher.
In postseason games, players do everything they can to get under the skin of their opponents. Luke Schenn, Pat Maroon, Tanner Jeannot, and Brandon Hagel engaged in a heated exchange Saturday night, and everything was recorded. Spoiler alert: they weren't saying nice things to each other.
Heated Exchange Between Schenn and the Lightning Captured
Here's what the Bolts had to say to Schenn:
Jeannot: «Schenner, we're going again!»
Maroon: »We're gonna fing kill you [Schenn]»
Schenn: «[Jeannot's] fing irrelevant»
Hagel: «Who?! He's irrelevant? Holy fk, you fing stink. You fing stink at everything.»
Schenn: «At least I'm worth the
fing trade»
Schenn actually makes a good point. He was obtained at the deadline from the Vancouver Canucks for a third-round pick.
Jeannot was traded for much more. Cal Foote, alongside five draft picks, were sent to Nashville for his services.
Both players haven't been able to record a point in the playoffs yet. But it's more disappointing from Jeannot, because the Bolts paid a hefty price for his services.
Schenn has been great defensively and very useful for the Leafs since the playoffs started. More importantly, he was very cheap.
The upcoming games between these two teams will certainly be more than interesting to watch.
